Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Prepare the operation theatre for ophthalmic surgeries (Cataract, Retina, LASIK, etc.)
- Ensure sterilization and proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist ophthalmologists during surgeries as per OT protocols
- Maintain OT hygiene, infection control, and safety standards
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic OT equipment
- Coordinate with nursing staff and doctors for smooth OT functioning
- Maintain OT records, checklists, and inventory
- Adhere to hospital policies, NABH standards, and clinical protocols
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma / Degree in OT Technology or equivalent qualification
- 2-7 years of experience in an ophthalmic OT (preferred)
- Knowledge of eye surgery instruments and OT procedures
- Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control
- Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency cases
Work Location
- Hyderabad (Vasan Eye Care Hospital-various units)
