Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Manager Personal Care, India to join our personal care business. This will be an onsite position. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and commercial function. This position will report to the General Manager- Personal Care.
  • The Senior Sales Manager Personal Care, India will be Responsible for overseeing the South of Asia, SoA (countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal) commercial/sales/distribution operations. Deliver business target & budget for personal care market & act as sales head & supervisory role for Iocal sales & commercial support person.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Develop SoA business development plan & execute market strategies with coordination with Regional Business Director, regional and global marketing; ensuring alignment of regional market/business strategies to meet or exceed revenue/profit vs budget.
  • Manage personal care & household business & customers interface in SoA, identify & deliver new business opportunities to achieve higher growth than market rate. Meeting expectation from regional/global management on new development/opportunities delivery target in term of timeline, quantity & quality of the opportunities to ensure business sustainability & growth
  • Manage salesperson downline, distributors & direct accounts, internal interface (supply chain, planners, logistic, regulatory, etc.) to ensure sales process & operation smoothness, conduct regular reviews to ensure business targets are on track
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
  • Degree in chemistry or related discipline, min 15 years of sales/business experience in personal care industry.

  • 5-7 years min. experience in matrix organization or multinational business organization & involved in multi-countries sales operations, excellent communication skill, market knowledge & understanding of personal care industries & customers landscape
