About the Team and the Role:
The Ather Insurance Limited team at Ather is responsible for driving financial excellence, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining robust internal controls, and providing reliable financial information to empower leadership in effective business decision-making.
This role is for a Finance Partner directly works with the Principal Officer, serving as the financial backbone of the organization by managing financial reporting, compliance, audit schedules, credit control, and strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and support the rigorous review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure high accuracy and transparency.
- Ensure strict adherence to all statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements specific to the corporate insurance and brokerage industry.
- Facilitate internal and external audit processes, taking the lead on preparing audit schedules and necessary documentation.
- Support credit control activities to ensure timely receivables collection, minimizing risk and optimizing cash flow.
- Maintain impeccable financial records and champion the implementation and execution of robust internal control processes.
- Assist leadership with comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and detailed management reporting.
- Analyze and provide key financial data and strategic insights to support operational and business decision-making.
Experience and Qualifications:
- CA/MBA with a specialization in Risk or Finance (highly preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant, post-qualification experience in finance, with prior experience in insurance, insurance broking, or financial services.
Must Have Competencies:
- Expertise in preparing and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with current accounting standards.

- In-depth knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and tax compliance frameworks specific to the corporate insurance and brokerage industry.
- Proficiency in managing internal and external audit processes, including audit schedule preparation and documentation.
- Strong capability in credit control management, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Good to Have Competencies:
- Practical knowledge of financial risk management methodologies within the insurance domain.
- Experience in analytical financial modeling to support broader strategic and operational insights.
- Familiarity with internal control framework designs and risk mitigation protocols.
- Competency in leveraging financial and accounting software platforms tailored for insurance broking operations.
