The Retail Portfolio Management Group (RPMG) plays a strategic role in managing the banks retail receivables, with a sharp focus on loss containment, cost efficiency, and portfolio sustainability. Through advanced analytics, technology-driven processes, and close collaboration with Credit, Risk, and Product teams, RPMG ensures risk-calibrated policy execution.
RPMG engages delinquent customers with multiple repayment solutions and financial counseling, promoting responsible credit behavior and long-term financial health. This approach aligns with the banks overarching Growth, Profitability, and Sustainability (GPS) strategy, positioning RPMG as a key contributor to operational resilience and financial performance.
About the Role
The Cluster Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing the portfolio of SBB loans within a specific area, ensuring NPA resolution, and achieving collection targets. This role involves handling the delinquent portfolio, achieving resolution and normalization targets, and ensuring compliance with audit procedures. The Cluster Portfolio Manager will manage a team and ensure the effective servicing of debt for mortgage loan products.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management:
.Manage the portfolio of SBB loan products
.Ensure maximum release from the NPA pool by achieving the required resolution target as per the business requirement.
.Ensure minimum addition to the NPA pool by maintaining the delinquency level.
.Achieve calling resolution targets for across buckets for SBB loan products.
.Adhere to calling norm targets for SBB loan products.
Operational Management:
.Oversee the collection process to ensure efficient and effective portfolio management.
.Monitor and analyze portfolio performance metrics and implement necessary adjustments.
.Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
.Maintain daily activity logs of calls, physical visits, right party contacts, promises to pay, and promises to pay kept.
.Prepare contingency plans for all collection-related activities.
.Ensure that assigned locations and collection agencies have sufficient manpower.
.Create a performance-oriented environment leading to high employee motivation and productivity.
.Ensure that all staff are adequately trained on the products of the bank, processes, and various policies of the bank.
Team Management:
.Manage a team of Bucket Managers and ensure achievement of the monthly resolution targets.
.Ensure that all collection agencies are fully compliant with RBI guidelines and the banks collection policy.
.Track portfolio health and prepare contingency plans for all collection-related activities.
.Ensure adherence to the set process and audit requirements in place.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
.Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure portfolio performance against established KPIs.
.Generate detailed reports on portfolio metrics and provide actionable insights.
.Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
Process Improvement:
.Continuously evaluate and enhance portfolio management processes and workflows.
.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
Optimal qualification for success on the job is:
.Graduation/Post-Graduation from a recognized institute.
.10 to 12 years of relevant experience in the NBFC/Banking industry.
Desired Qualifications:
.Knowledge and understanding of collections and market dynamics.
.Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms.
.Operational and system knowledge.
