Role Description The Insurance Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolhapur, responsible for advising individuals and families on suitable life insurance and investment products aligned with their financial needs and goals. Day-to-day activities include meeting prospective and existing customers, understanding their financial situation and risk profile, and recommending appropriate Bajaj Life plans such as ULIPs, term insurance, retirement, and child policies. The role involves explaining policy features and benefits, assisting with documentation and applications, and ensuring that customers understand terms, premiums, and claim procedures. The Insurance Consultant will also follow up on leads, maintain relationships for renewals and cross-selling, and coordinate with branch and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery. Regular reporting on sales activities, compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines, and participation in training and product updates are integral parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Insurance products and concepts, with the ability to match solutions to diverse customer needs.
• Foundational understanding of Finance, including savings, investments, and risk management principles.
• Experience or aptitude in Consulting, with skills in needs analysis, solution recommendations, and professional advisory conversations.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, focused on responsiveness, relationship-building, and delivering a positive customer experience.
• Clear and confident Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex information simply.
• Minimum educational qualification: bachelors degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field (relevant diplomas or certifications in insurance are an advantage).
• Ability to work in a target-driven environment, with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Comfort using digital tools and platforms for customer interaction, policy servicing, and reporting.
• Prior experience in life insurance, banking, or financial services is preferred but not mandatory for motivated learners.
