To be successful in the role, you should have experience with:
- Strong experience in Data Lineage, Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Management frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Data Risk, Controls, Regulatory Requirements, BCBS239, and data governance best practices.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, Risk, and Operations.
- Experience managing large-scale remediation initiatives, control enhancements, and governance programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience defining standards, policies, procedures, and governance controls.
- Ability to perform data impact analysis and assess upstream and downstream data dependencies.
- Proficiency in preparing executive-level presentations, management information, and governance reporting.
- Knowledge of Data Management platforms, metadata repositories, and Data Lineage tooling.
- Understanding of Data Quality Management, Critical Data Elements, Data Risk Management, and regulatory data management principles.
- Experience working with workflow and issue management tools to track activities, enhancements, remediation plans, and governance actions.
- Exposure to change management and release management processes to ensure governance artefacts remain accurate and current.
- Understanding of organisational structures, operating models, and governance forums across business and technology functions.
- Familiarity with data architecture concepts, application ecosystems, systems integration, and data lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting audit reviews, regulatory engagements, control testing, and assurance activities.
- Knowledge of financial services, risk management, finance, treasury, regulatory reporting, or related business domains.
- Adaptability and learning agility to operate successfully in an evolving regulatory, governance, and technology environment.
- Strong collaboration mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Purpose of the role
To develop, implement, and maintain effective governance frameworks for all data and records across the banks global operations.
Accountabilities
- Development and maintenance of a comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitoring data quality and records metrics and compliance with standards across the organization.
- Identification and addressing of data and records management risks and gaps.
- Development and implementation of a records management programme that ensures the proper identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval and disposal of records.
- Development and implementation of a data governance strategy that aligns with the banks overall data management strategy and business objectives.
- Provision of Group wide guidance and training on Data and Records Management standard requirements.
