Business Analyst- Lending

Experience: 5-8 Years

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

Lending & Business Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across the lending lifecycle.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand and improve processes related to:
• Loan Origination
• Credit Assessment & Underwriting
• Loan Disbursement
• Loan Servicing
• Collections & Recovery
• Prepare User Stories/BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Process Flows, Use Cases, and Functional Specifications.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Support SIT, UAT, and production rollout activities.
• Collaborate with business, product, operations, risk, and technology teams to ensure successful project delivery.

LOS / LMS Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and Loan Management Systems (LMS).
• Analyze and document business rules, workflows, credit policies, and lending processes.
• Work on LOS/LMS implementation, enhancements, integration, and migration projects.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure business requirements are translated into functional solutions.
• Support compliance with regulatory and risk requirements within lending platforms.

Generative AI Responsibilities

• Possess working knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-powered business solutions.
• Identify and define GenAI use cases within lending operations.
• Support implementation of AI-driven solutions such as:
• Loan application summarization
• Credit memo generation
• Intelligent document analysis
• Underwriting assistance
• Customer service chatbots
• Knowledge management solutions
• Experience working with tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms in the lending domain.
• Understanding of Prompt Engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), AI Agents, and AI governance concepts.
• Collaborate with AI/Technology teams to define business requirements and measure business value from AI initiatives.

Required Skills

Domain Expertise

• Strong experience in Retail Lending, SME Lending, Mortgage, Personal Loans, Business Loans, or Commercial Lending.
• Good understanding of credit underwriting, risk assessment, loan processing, and servicing.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• MBA preferred.
• Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Banking, or AI/GenAI are advantageous.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in Banking or Financial Services (BFSI).
• Hands-on experience with LOS/LMS transformation projects.
• Exposure to Digital Lending programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
