Production Technician

• Operates, sets and maintains the production machinery according to instructions.
• Operates mixing machine to mix pigments, shades and chemical solvents to make paints.
• Weighs and records ingredients such as pigments, solvent, resins into mixer in accordance to the formulas.
• Starts agitating that mix ingredients in accordance with the specified time set.
• Ensure the quality of the production batch meets the specification.
• Colour match to the standard samples until approval.
• Viscosity Adjustment.
• Liaise with Technical on the respective batches being tested to ensure quick approval.
• Ensure that safety and engineering practices are compiled with in accordance with instruction and procedures.
• Ensure good housekeeping of work areas.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and keep machines clean and properly stored at all times.
• Ensure product approved are pack into its correct literate, right labels etc.
• Fill goods (Finished Good) are stack on the rack (palletized) and block stacking for drums are in safety position.
• Ensure issued goods are on FIFO basis if otherwise.
• Perform all other task assigned by the superior.
• To recognize health and safety is a responsibility of every employee, to take reasonable care of oneself and others and to comply with Beckers’ Environmental Health and Safety policy and any Beckers procedures / rules that apply to the role.
• All employees have the responsibility to highlight unsafe conditions and EHS Managers, Officers, Supervisors and above have the responsibility to shut down any activity if it is operating in an unsafe condition.

Qualifications

• Minimum graduate from secondary school.
• At least 1 year working experience.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English

• Capable of working independently and diligently to high quality standard.
• Ability to plan and organise work to ensure the completion of assignments according to deadline.
• Basic knowledge in the use of IT systems and software including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word etc.
• Team player with positive attitude.
