About the Role

Drive operational excellence, standardization, digital transformation, productivity improvement, and compliance enhancement across all warehouse operations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve service levels, inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, cost efficiency, audit readiness, and employee capability while supporting the One Warehouse Operating Model.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operational Excellence

• Develop and deploy a One Warehouse Operating Model across all warehouse locations.
• Establish standardized processes for receiving, storage, dispensing, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory management.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S initiatives
• Lead productivity improvement projects to enhance throughput and resource utilization.

2. KPI Governance & Performance Management

• Define and monitor warehouse KPI dashboards including OTIF, Inventory Accuracy, Dock-to-Stock Time, Order Cycle Time, Space Utilization, Productivity per FTE, Cost per Pallet / Shipment, and Audit Compliance Metrics.
• Conduct monthly operational reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive data-based decision making through structured dashboards and exception-based management.

3. Digital Transformation & Analytics

• Lead implementation of warehouse digitization initiatives.
• Drive adoption of SAP, WMS, MES, and AI-driven warehouse analytics.
• Develop control towers, exception dashboards, and predictive inventory analytics.

4. Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization

• Identify and execute cost-saving projects across warehouse operations.
• Improve storage density and capacity utilization.
• Reduce handling losses, damages, and avoidable inventory write-offs.
• Drive initiatives such as double stacking, reusable packaging / palletization, process automation, and resource optimization.

5. Capacity & Network Optimization

• Evaluate warehouse capacity utilization and develop layout optimization strategies.
• Support warehouse expansion, consolidation, and network redesign projects.
• Drive process and operating model standardization across sites.

6. Capability Building

• Establish warehouse competency frameworks and training roadmaps.
• Develop training and certification programs for warehouse teams.
• Build a culture of operational discipline, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with QA, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, EHS, IT, and other stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional improvement programs and transformation projects.
• Ensure timely escalation, ownership clarity, and closure of operational excellence actions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Pharmacy / Supply Chain / Operations Management.
• MBA / PGDM in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification preferred.

Experience Required

• 12+ years of experience in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Experience in Pharma, Biotechnology, FMCG, or other highly regulated industries.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, GWP, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, WMS, and other warehouse digital platforms.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools.
• Experience in automation, digitization, and Warehouse excellence.
• Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
