Position Overview:
The Executive – X-Ray Screening Operations is responsible for operating and monitoring X-Ray screening systems to ensure the secure movement of cargo through the Blue Dart network. The role plays a critical part in maintaining aviation security compliance, identifying prohibited and dangerous goods, safeguarding shipment integrity, and enabling seamless cargo movement while ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence.
Job Purpose:
To perform secure and compliant X-Ray screening of shipments in accordance with DGCA, BCAS, Dangerous Goods Regulations and Blue Dart operational standards while ensuring shipment security, regulatory compliance, operational productivity, and uninterrupted cargo movement across the network.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Cargo Screening Operations

• Operate X-Ray screening equipment for all designated inbound and outbound consignments.
• Ensure all shipments are screened in accordance with prescribed security procedures before onward movement.
• Maintain uninterrupted cargo flow while adhering to defined screening timelines.
  

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with DGCA, BCAS and applicable aviation security regulations.
• Adhere to Dangerous Goods (DGR) screening requirements and Blue Dart security SOPs.
• Maintain complete compliance with all statutory and internal operational standards.
  

Security & Risk Management

• Identify suspicious, restricted or prohibited articles during X-Ray screening.
• Escalate security exceptions immediately through prescribed reporting channels.
• Coordinate secondary inspections whenever required.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all screening activities.
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate X-Ray screening logs and statutory records.
• Prepare daily screening reports and exception reports.
• Record all security observations, rejected shipments and escalations.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
  

Equipment Management

• Conduct daily equipment readiness checks before commencement of operations.
• Report equipment faults immediately and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Ensure safe and proper handling of X-Ray screening equipment.
  

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate with Hub Operations, Gateway Operations, Security, Ground Operations and Commercial teams for smooth cargo movement.
• Support peak operations and contingency plans as required.
• Ensure minimum shipment dwell time after completion of screening.
  

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in periodic certification and refresher training.
• Support implementation of new screening procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance security, productivity and service quality.
  

Qualifications & Experience:
Education

• Graduate in any discipline.
• Certification in Aviation Security / Cargo Security preferred.
  

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Logistics, Aviation Security, Cargo Operations or Express Distribution.
• Experience in operating X-Ray screening equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and aviation security procedures will be an added advantage.
