We are looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) CCFR & DECM, Global Markets Legal (APAC) to provide legal support for Capital Markets and Global Markets transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Capital Markets documentation, regulatory compliance, and transaction execution, with the ability to advise business stakeholders on complex legal and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and other Global Markets transactions across the APAC region.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of capital markets documentation, including:
1. Offering documents
2. Subscription agreements
3. Dealer agreements
4. Trust deeds
5. Agency agreements
6. Transaction documents
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory issues relating to debt capital market products and structured transactions.
- Support execution of bond issuances, syndicated transactions, medium-term note (MTN) programmes, and other capital market offerings.
- Work closely with business teams, compliance, risk, operations, and external legal counsel throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Ensure transactions comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and market best practices.
- Identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks associated with capital market transactions.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting Global Markets and provide timely guidance to business stakeholders.
- Participate in policy development, legal process improvements, and knowledge management initiatives.
- Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and legal risk management activities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Global Markets Legal or Debt Capital Markets (DCM).
- In-depth knowledge of capital markets products, transaction structures, and documentation.
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex financial and legal agreements.
- Strong understanding of financial services regulations applicable to APAC markets.
- Knowledge of syndicated lending, debt issuances, structured finance, and securities offerings.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.

- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting cross-border capital markets transactions.
- Familiarity with ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, or other Global Markets documentation.
- Knowledge of derivatives, structured products, securitization, and treasury products.
- Experience working in multinational banks, financial institutions, or leading law firms.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks across APAC jurisdictions.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
- LL.M. or additional legal qualifications are an advantage.
- Qualified to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction is preferred.
