Analyst/Associate - Investment Research

Experience:

Minimum 18 months and maximum 48 months experience on the sell side in listed Indian Equities or an investment bank dealing in India (not overseas).

A person with buy side experience in listed equities or private equity could be also considered subject to exposure to extensive financial analysis, number crunching and ability to do financial modelling.

Age maximum 28 years.

The position could be associate or analyst depending on experience and skill set of the analyst.

Role:

• Would involve supporting the senior analyst (typically 15 - 20 years experience) in researching companies across sectors and market capitalisation.
• The job involves detailed financial modelling, number crunching and understanding of historical financial statements, financial analysis and adjusting, making forecasts, help senior analyst in tracking companies and finding investment opportunities.
• Good written and verbal communication and attention to detail/number crunching skills and financial analysis is a must for the job.
• The associate/analyst would get to speak/interact with the managements, experts, sell side while working on live projects with the senior analyst and access to expert network databases, FactSet and Ace.
• The firm has many unique processes - analyst would be given adequate training of 4 - 6 months of firm's processes before working on live projects.

Education:

CFA, CFA level 2 clear, CA, MBA Finance.

Fund/Firm Profile:

• Bowhead Investment Advisors is the Investment Advisor to Bowhead India Fund.
• The Firm AUM is above USD 500 Millon (starting AUM USD 600 thousand in December 2019) by choice as it has decided to grow slowly and consolidate.
• It has not accepted significant capital offered to it in last 1 year.
• The Fund is domiciled in Mauritius and manages money largely for offshore institutional investors including some of the most reputed and largest investors in US.
• It has several US Endowments, Foundations and Global Family Offices as its clients.
• The Fund has one of the better track records amongst all Indian onshore/offshore funds with more than 25 pec USD annualised returns in 7 years post all fees with insignificant loss-making positions.
• The Fund is market cap and sector agnostic and invests across the market cap curve in companies though 60 - 80% of the investments are expected to be in Midcap or small cap companies.
• It does not invest in companies below USD 700 million market cap or below USD 300 million free float.

Location:

• BKC Mumbai or Gurgaon Golf Course Road.
• No work from home.
• Even for people working in Mumbai first 6 months would be in Gurgaon to be able to go through extensive training.
