Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned National Sales Manager to spearhead our FMCG sales operations based in Bangalore. In this leadership capacity, you will be responsible for defining the national sales roadmap, driving top-line growth, and overseeing the end-to-end distribution network across General Trade and Modern Trade channels. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, marketing heads, and regional sales managers to translate business objectives into actionable sales strategies. Your impact will be pivotal in scaling our market presence, optimizing trade spend, and ensuring our products achieve dominant shelf-share in a highly competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve aggressive revenue targets and market share expansion across all national territories.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales organization, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence to ensure consistent performance across diverse regions.
  • Oversee the optimization of distribution networks and channel management to improve product availability and supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the trade marketing team to design and implement high-impact visibility programs and promotional campaigns that drive consumer off-take.
  • Direct sales operations and planning processes, utilizing data-driven insights to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
  • Strengthen relationships with key retail partners and distributors to secure long-term growth and competitive positioning in the FMCG sector.

Required Skillset:

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale FMCG distribution networks with a proven track record of scaling operations in both General Trade and Modern Trade environments.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and analytical capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex market data into actionable sales operations initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and driving consensus at the senior management level.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, essential for managing high-value partnerships and resolving complex channel conflicts.
  • A postgraduate degree in Management from a premier business school is highly preferred, reflecting a strong foundation in business principles.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site work environment in Bangalore, maintaining high levels of agility and operational focus.
