| Job Purpose | Database Administrator job consist of installation, database creation, performance monitoring, Data security, troubleshooting, Daily backup tracking, Database Migration & Upgrade, New environment creation, Database Compliance deployment, Issue trouble shooting, Performance/Impact analysis, Database alert tracking, incident tracking, Change Management tracking and data extractions for MIS Reporting/Analysis |
| Duties and Responsibilities | Database Administrator job consist of installation, database creation, performance monitoring, Data security, troubleshooting, Daily backup tracking, Database Migration & Upgrade, New environment creation, Database Compliance deployment, Issue trouble shooting, Performance/Impact analysis, Database alert tracking, incident tracking, Change Management tracking and data extractions for MIS Reporting/Analysis |
| Key Decisions / Dimensions | • Only Critical servers are being monitored with existing team member |
| Major Challenges | • No of Database servers to be monitored are increased up to 100+ • No of compliance points are 65 to be maintained on all 100+ Servers. • No consistent support from Off-Role team • Maintaining 100% uptime on all database servers • Regular database patching and VA resolution MoM |

Try our Placement Guarantee Plan | a) Qualifications Minimum qualification required is B.E./B.Tech/BSC-IT with minimum of 2.5+ Years of experience in MSSQL DBA • Work Experience • Should have good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Should have strong ownership. • Should have good communication skills. • RDBMS: Experience in MS SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019, & knowledge of Postgres is advantage • Operating Systems: Experience in Windows 2008 R2/2012/2016/2019 Server, & Linux RedHat, CentOS, Debian • Operating Systems: Experience in Windows 2008 R2/2012/2016/2019 Server, & Linux RedHat • Backup and Recovery: Experience of DB Backup and Disaster Recovery methods, with DR drill • HA/DR: Knowledge of HA\DR concepts. |
