Director - Demand Planning - SCM & Operations

Role Overview:

As the Director of Demand Planning, you will spearhead the end-to-end forecasting and supply chain strategy for our Bangalore operations. You will serve as a critical bridge between sales, marketing, and operations, ensuring that our inventory levels are perfectly calibrated to meet market volatility while optimizing working capital. In this high-impact role, you will lead a high-performing team to translate complex data sets into actionable supply chain strategies, directly influencing our bottom-line profitability and customer service levels. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive cross-functional alignment, ensuring that our growth ambitions are supported by a robust, scalable, and responsive supply chain architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Orchestrate the monthly S&OP cycle to align demand forecasts with supply capabilities, ensuring seamless execution across all product categories.
• Develop and refine sophisticated statistical forecasting models to improve accuracy and reduce stock-outs, directly enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Oversee comprehensive capacity planning initiatives to ensure manufacturing and logistics infrastructure can support long-term business scaling.
• Manage inventory health by implementing rigorous replenishment strategies, thereby minimizing carrying costs and mitigating the risk of obsolescence.
• Partner with commercial teams to integrate market intelligence and promotional activities into the demand plan, ensuring proactive preparation for seasonal spikes.
• Mentor and lead a team of planning professionals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement.

Required Skillset:

• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex demand planning cycles and supply chain optimization within large-scale, fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to translate intricate data analytics into strategic business narratives for executive stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams to achieve unified operational goals.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain planning software, coupled with a deep understanding of statistical modeling techniques.
• A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or an MBA from a premier institute is highly preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment in Bangalore, maintaining high levels of team engagement and operational excellence across distributed workflows.
• Minimum 8 - 14 years of progressive experience in demand and supply planning roles, with a clear history of delivering measurable improvements in forecast accuracy and inventory turns.
