Job Description

Cognitive Clinical Management

Clinical Non-invasive Management

Clinical Invasive Management

Perform and document history & physical examination
Formulate differential diagnosis
Develops and documents initial plan of care
Modifies daily plan of care
Inform nurse the change of plan
Writes daily progress notes
Obtain and document informed consent*
Order appropriate referrals*
Order appropriate investigations and follows up on results/reports*
Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients
Interpret laboratory & radiology results
Orders and oversees transfusions of blood and blood products
Order and administer appropriate medication and other orders as required*
Prepare an appropriate discharge summary well in time
Communicate adequate written/verbal discharge instructions to inpatients

Perform digital rectal examination
Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
Orders, adjusts artificial feeding modalities.
Write clear chemotherapy orders and get them counter signed by consultant in charge
Reading and interpreting Bone marrow biopsy *
Make BMT protocols and get them verified by HOD

Inserts central venous catheter
Performs oral endotracheal intubation
Performs nasogastric intubation
Inserts urethral catheter.
Inserts intravenous cannulation
Bone marrow biopsy
Skin biopsy *
Lumbar Puncture
Administer Intravenous / Intra-arterial / Intrathecal Chemo medicines
Perform bone marrow transplant*
Donor lymphocyte infusion

*Trained designated staff (designee) to carry out duties and responsibilities required of the treating consultant under supervision/presence of Junior Consultant and above.
