Role Overview

The PA-Healthcare Logistics hybrid role bridges the gap between direct medical service and the administrative/supply chain infrastructure required to keep clinics, remote stations, or mobile medical units functioning smoothly.

Core Responsibilities

• Clinical Care & Triage: Perform physical exams, take medical histories, diagnose acute and chronic illnesses, order/interpret labs and X-rays, and prescribe medications.
• Medical Evacuation & Logistics Coordination: Coordinate patient transfers, emergency medical evacuations (MEDEVAC), and the movement of critical medical supplies or personnel in remote or disaster-relief environments.
• Inventory & Supply Management: Oversee the availability of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and diagnostic kits (such as working with electronic health records and stock tracking systems like OpenEMR or warehouse inventory models).
• Emergency Response: Provide on-site emergency medical care within designated response times (e.g., responding to acute incidents within 30 minutes of notification).
• Telemedicine & Teleradiology Support: Deliver remote consultations, interpret basic diagnostic imaging, and guide field teams via telecommunication links.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate medical and operational logs in accordance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree from an ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant) accredited program.
