Resident - Gastroenterology & GI Surgery

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic disorders.
• Conduct detailed patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Provide care to admitted patients and monitor their clinical progress.
• Handle gastroenterology-related emergencies and coordinate timely interventions.
• Prepare and implement treatment plans under the guidance of consultants.
• Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Ensure continuity of care through proper patient handovers.

Procedural Responsibilities

• Assist consultants during diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures.
• Assist in upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and other specialized procedures as applicable.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Ensure adherence to procedural safety and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate procedural records and documentation.
