Cashfree Payments is looking for a Public Policy & Government Affairs professional to support its engagement with Central and State Governments, regulators and other key public-sector stakeholders.

The role will involve a combination of government engagement, regulatory tracking, policy analysis, internal advisory and on-ground execution. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Indias fintech and digital payments ecosystem (preferably PA ecosystem), be comfortable engaging with government and regulatory stakeholders, and be able to translate policy developments into clear business implications and actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Government & Regulatory Engagement: Engage proactively with Central and State Government departments, regulatory bodies and relevant authorities on policy and regulatory matters affecting Cashfree, including in-person meetings, consultations and government-led forums.

  Policy & Regulatory Resolution: Independently drive policy and regulatory matters requiring government engagement, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop appropriate responses and taking issues from identification through stakeholder engagement, follow-up and resolution.

• Policy Advocacy & Industry Engagement: Support Cashfrees participation in industry consultations, working groups, policy roundtables and government-led initiatives, while contributing to policy positions, representations and identifying opportunities aligned with Cashfrees strategic priorities.

• Develop and demonstrate a strong working understanding of Indias payments and fintech regulatory framework, particularly RBIs Payment Aggregator / Payment Gateway framework; Payment systems and digital payment regulations; Digital payment fraud and cyber-fraud regulatory framework; Cross-border payments and related regulatory requirements

• Stakeholder Management & Follow-through: Represent Cashfrees policy interests in a professional and solution-oriented manner, while driving sustained stakeholder engagement and follow-up on key policy and regulatory matters through to resolution.
