Founded in 2015 and backed by Y Combinator and marquee investors including Steve Chen (Co-founder, YouTube) and Paul Buchheit (Creator of Gmail), were building the operating system for how urban India furnishes homes.

As we scale, content is becoming one of our biggest growth engines—and were looking for a Video Editor who can help us tell stories that people stop, watch, and remember.

Role Overview

Were looking for a creative, AI-first video editor who understands storytelling, pacing, and what makes content work across platforms. This is not a traditional editing role. Youll work closely with founders, marketing, and creative teams to build performance ads, social content, product videos, and brand campaigns that drive real business impact.

If you spend time analyzing reels, noticing trends before everyone else, and obsessing over hooks, transitions, and retention—this role is for you.

What Youll Do

Create Scroll-Stopping Content

• Edit engaging videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
• Produce ad creatives, product videos, customer testimonials and brand campaigns.
• Turn raw footage into high-retention videos with compelling storytelling and strong pacing.
• Repurpose long-form content into snackable short-form assets.

Post-Production Excellence

• Add captions, transitions, motion graphics, sound effects, music, and animations to elevate every edit.
• Perform colour correction, audio cleanup, and final mastering for premium-quality output.
• Ensure consistency across all content and maintain brand guidelines.
• Organize footage and maintain a clean, efficient editing workflow.

Creative Ideation

• Stay on top of trends, memes, editing styles, and viral content formats.
• Collaborate with founders and marketers to brainstorm campaign concepts and content ideas.
• Experiment with new formats and creative approaches to improve engagement and performance.
• Bring fresh storytelling angles and a creator mindset to every project.

What Were Looking For

• 1–3 years of professional video editing experience.
• Experience working with startups, D2C brands, agencies, creators, or content teams is preferred.
• Strong portfolio showcasing short-form and long-form content.
• Understanding of social media trends and platform-specific storytelling.

Technical Skills

You should be proficient in:

• Adobe Premiere Pro
• After Effects
• DaVinci Resolve
• CapCut

Bonus points if youve worked with:

• Motion Graphics and Animation
• AI-powered creative tools (Heygen, Seedance etc)
• Performance marketing creatives and Meta ads
• Sound design and color grading
