Senior AI / Back-end Engineer

Coastal Seven Technologies is hiring a Senior AI / Backend Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in machine learning integration, backend development, and scalable AI deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI/ML models into production environments
• Design backend services supporting AI-powered features
• Integrate LLMs, NLP systems, or Computer Vision models
• Build APIs for AI-driven functionalities
• Develop data pipelines and model training workflows
• Optimise model performance and inference speed
• Monitor, version, and manage ML models
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Maintain proper documentation and coding standards
• Lead and mentor a team of junior developers, ensuring code quality and timely delivery.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong programming expertise in Python
• Experience with TensorFlow / PyTorch / Scikit-learn
• Experience integrating LLM APIs and NLP systems
• Framework experience (FastAPI / Django)
• Knowledge of vector databases and embeddings
• Knowledge of Agentic AI
• Cloud ML deployment experience (AWS SageMaker / Azure ML / GCP AI)
• Understanding of Microservices architecture
