About the Role As a Frontend Engineer - React at Flex Fitness AI, you'll embark on a structured 1-year journey designed exclusively for entry-level developers in India. This is not just a job – it's a comprehensive learning experience where you'll master React by doing. You'll work alongside a collaborative team in a remote-first environment, contributing to our AI-driven fitness platform that helps users achieve their health goals. What You'll Learn React Fundamentals: JSX, components, props, and state – we'll start from the basics and build up. Hooks & State Management: Use useState, useEffect, useContext, and gradually explore Redux or Context API for global state. Component Architecture: Learn to break down UI into reusable, maintainable components. Virtual DOM & Performance: Understand how React's virtual DOM works and optimize rendering. Styling: Use CSS modules, styled-components, or Tailwind – we'll adapt to best practices. Testing: Write unit tests with Jest and React Testing Library. Tooling: Work with npm/yarn, Vite, eslint, prettier, and Git. The Project You'll be part of a squad building and enhancing our fitness dashboard, workout planner, and user progress tracking features. You'll take ownership of small features end-to-end, from requirement gathering to deployment, with constant code reviews and feedback from senior engineers. Mentorship & Growth You'll be assigned a dedicated mentor who will guide you through career development, technical skills, and best practices. We conduct weekly 1:1s, pair programming sessions, and monthly brown-bag learning sessions. Our goal is to make you job-ready for senior roles within 18 months. Work Culture (India-Focused) We embrace remote work with a focus on output, not hours. Our team spans across major Indian metros and we schedule meetings considering IST. You'll get the flexibility to manage your time, with core overlap hours from 11 AM to 4 PM IST. We provide a learning budget for courses, books, and certifications.
