Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Statutory Audit professional at the Manager or Associate Director level to join our Mumbai/Navi Mumbai practice. In this leadership capacity, you will oversee complex audit engagements, ensuring the highest standards of financial reporting and regulatory compliance for a diverse portfolio of high-value clients. You will act as a primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, guiding them through intricate accounting challenges while mentoring high-performing audit teams. By driving audit quality and operational excellence, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding client integrity and fostering long-term trust, directly influencing the firm's reputation and business growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end statutory audit engagements for large-scale enterprises to ensure absolute compliance with IFRS and local regulatory frameworks.
- Manage client relationships by providing strategic insights on financial reporting, thereby positioning the firm as a trusted advisor rather than just a service provider.
- Oversee team performance and professional development, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability within the audit department.
- Drive the planning and execution of audit strategies, ensuring that all deliverables meet rigorous quality standards and strict internal deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to resolve complex audit issues, ensuring seamless project delivery and risk mitigation.
- Implement process improvements and audit methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and maintain the firm's competitive edge in the market.
Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in Statutory Audit and IFRS, with a proven track record of managing complex financial reporting requirements for large corporate clients.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop diverse teams in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, characterized by the ability to communicate technical audit findings clearly and persuasively to C-suite executives.
- Proven experience in a Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm environment, reflecting a deep understanding of global audit standards and best practices.
- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent professional certification, complemented by a sharp analytical mindset.
