Senior Associate - Statutory Audit - Accounting/Finance/Audit

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Statutory Audit professional to join our Mumbai/Navi Mumbai team. In this role, you will lead complex audit engagements, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance for a diverse portfolio of high-growth clients. You will work closely with senior management and client leadership to navigate intricate financial landscapes, providing insights that drive transparency and informed decision-making. By managing end-to-end audit lifecycles and mentoring junior team members, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our firm's reputation for excellence and delivering high-impact financial assurance that builds trust in the capital markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute comprehensive statutory audits for large-scale corporate clients to ensure strict adherence to accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Lead on-site audit fieldwork and coordinate with client finance teams to resolve complex reporting issues, ensuring timely project delivery.
• Review financial statements and disclosures to identify material misstatements, providing actionable recommendations to improve internal control environments.
• Manage engagement economics, including budgeting and resource allocation, to ensure high-quality output within defined timelines.
• Mentor and supervise junior audit associates, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth within the team.

Required Skillset:

• Possess a deep understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and Companies Act requirements, demonstrated through a track record of managing complex audit portfolios.
• Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to interpret financial data and identify risks, coupled with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, reflecting a high standard of professional competency and ethical rigor.
• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills to build and sustain long-term relationships with diverse client teams and internal partners.
• Adapt seamlessly to a hybrid or on-site work environment, managing multiple priorities across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai locations with professional agility.
• Bring between 3 - 9 years of progressive experience in statutory audit within a reputed firm, showcasing a consistent ability to handle high-pressure audit cycles.
