Director - Operations - API Pharma

Looking for a Senior - Manufacturing & Quality professional with 20+ years post qualification and MUST be a B. Tech / M.E in Chemical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• 1. Responsible for spanning Manufacturing, Maintenance, Projects, QC, QA, EHS, Procurement, Logistics, Government affairs and coordination with HR/Admin.
• 2. Extensive experience in production, project management, and leading operations across multi-location manufacturing plants.
• 3. Strong hands-on expertise in API manufacturing operations, with a proven track record of cost-effective production, cGMP compliance, operational efficiency, and productivity improvement.
• 4. Broad exposure to key cross-functional areas, including Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Project Management, and R&D.
• 5. Excellent collaboration, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with business peers and external stakeholders.
• 6. High leadership calibre, strategic agility, scalability, and a strong bias for speed, execution, and action-oriented decision-making.
• 7. Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in team management, preferably within the pharmaceutical and intermediates manufacturing industry.
• 8. Demonstrated experience in driving process optimization, operational excellence initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
• 9. Proven experience in managing and successfully navigating regulatory inspections and audits conducted by global regulatory authorities, including the US FDA, PMDA, TGA, and ANVISA.
• 10. People-centric leadership approach with a strong focus on talent development, team building, and empowerment, while demonstrating accountability, ownership, and the ability to provide timely solutions in critical situations.
