We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented English Sub Editor to join our News team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in handling national, international, politics, crime, current affairs, and general news.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and publish news articles with accuracy and speed.
- Verify facts, grammar, headlines, and overall content quality.
- Track breaking news and update stories in real time.
- Coordinate with reporters, desk team, and content leads.
- Ensure articles follow editorial guidelines and SEO requirements.
- Rework copy from agencies and other internal teams.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in a news organisation.
- Strong knowledge of national & international news, politics, crime, and current affairs.
- Excellent command of English (grammar, syntax, clarity).
- Ability to work in fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Willingness to work shifts if required.
- Basic understanding of digital news and SEO.
