Job Description
- As a Network Security Specialist at Dassault Systmes, you will have the opportunity to unlock your potential in the realm of Scientific Software Engineering. Your primary role will involve spearheading the firewall/remote user access/micro-segmentation domain within the APAC IT organization. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect in this role:
**Role Overview:**
- Lead the WW/APAC firewall/remote user access/micro-segmentation projects to ensure global standards are defined and implemented effectively.
- Own the global firewall/VPN L2/L3 ticket pools and ensure that Pool SLAs are met consistently.
- Engage with ticket owners from different geographies to understand their business requirements and work on external & internal firewall tickets diligently.
- Follow defined security policies during firewall openings and maintain compliance with security validations and whitelisted ports.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of global IP routing, components, SD-WAN architecture, and failover mechanisms to efficiently handle user VPN tickets.
- Periodically patch/upgrade firewall firmware across APAC and assist remote IT teams in installing/replacing new firewall appliances.
- Collaborate with the implementation team for new firewall-related projects and create periodic reports on firewall logs for fine-tuning security policies.
- Monitor firewall performance proactively and provide feedback to the management on necessary upgrades or replacements.
- Contribute to the automation of recurring operational tasks and provide code feedback to the automation team.
- Participate in the on-call process across APAC, including availability during weeknights and weekends as per a pre-defined shift roster.
**Qualification Required:**
- B.Tech / B.E (CS / IT / E&TC) from premier institutions with a strong academic track record.

- Hands-on experience (5-6 years) with corporate firewalling solutions like Checkpoint/Cisco/Fortinet.
- Hands-on experience (3-4 years) with Zscaler Private Access and Zscaler Internet Access.
- Hands-on experience (2-3 years) with micro-segmentation tools like Illumio, NSX-T, etc.
- Good understanding of different firewall blades, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and basic knowledge of Python, rest API.
- Experience in working with SLA oriented ticketing tools, SD-WAN solutions, and international teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, ability to learn quickly, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
