Finance Business Partner - Retail

Decathlon was founded in 1976 in France. Our purpose is to Bring people together through sport to make wellbeing accessible for all and we provide 60+ sports & 6,000+ products designed by us at extremely affordable prices. Decathlon is the worlds largest sports retailer and we have 135+ stores spread across India with more openings each year. We are recruiting for a finance business partner for our Retail Value Chain.
Responsibilities
Finance Partnering

• Partner with retail and business teams to provide financial insights and decision support
• Manage and monitor P&L performance across business units
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and support business needs proactively
• Translate financial and operational data into actionable business insights
  

Planning & Forecasting

• Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting, and rolling forecasts
• Analyze revenue, margins, operating expenses, and profitability drivers
• Develop financial models and track key retail KPIs
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost optimization levers
  

Decision Support

• Build scenario and sensitivity analysis to support business decisions
• Provide data-backed recommendations to leadership on investments and expansion opportunities
  
• Actively participate in business reviews and decision-making discussions
  

Reporting & Controllership

• Perform Actual vs Budget vs Forecast variance analysis and identify root causes
• Deliver reliable financial statements reflecting true business performance
• Build early warning systems to highlight business risks and opportunities
• Maintain strong governance, compliance, and financial controls
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with group standards and local regulations
  

Project & Change Management

• Drive retail finance projects and process improvement initiatives
• Support automation and simplification of process across the activities
• Take initiatives to innovate and enhance business efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement finance transformation projects

• 0–4 years of experience in Retail Finance, FP&A, Business Finance, or Commercial Finance
• Minimum Qualification of CA / MBA / PGDM / ACCA.
• You must have advanced knowledge in Excel and must be curious to learn new tools.
• You should have good presentation and communication skills.
• You should have a strong interest in analysis and project management.
• You should have a team spirit
