Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the front-end engineering team within Deloitte Tax in India’s Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC). You will design, build, and support responsive, accessible, high-performance user interfaces for the GES workflow platform using Angular and TypeScript, integrating with REST APIs, microservices, and workflow services to give business users a fast, intuitive way to manage their work.
The ideal candidate brings 8 to 12 years of hands-on front-end development experience, with deep expertise in Angular. You have strong engineering fundamentals, work well independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate and communicate effectively with your own team, UX designers, backend and product teams, business users, and global delivery partners.
Hands-on experience with Pega Constellation architecture is a significant differentiator for this role. Experience with other workflow and low-code platforms (such as ServiceNow, Appian, or Salesforce), as well as AI engineering and AWS cloud technologies, is also a plus.
Key job responsibilities:
- Own the design and delivery of small to medium complexity front-end modules end to end, from technical design and estimation through development, testing, deployment support, and production support.
- Build user interfaces with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, and CSS3 / SCSS.
- Create reusable components and shared UI libraries aligned to the product’s design system.
- Integrate with REST APIs and microservices, handling authentication, asynchronous data flows, and error scenarios.
- Build workflow-centric experiences such as worklists, case and task views, dynamic forms, approvals, and dashboards.
- Deliver responsive, cross-browser, and accessible (WCAG) interfaces.
- Build and extend user experiences on Pega Constellation using DX APIs, the Constellation design system, and custom components, where applicable.
- Write automated unit and end-to-end tests, and analyze and resolve production defects, driving fixes that prevent recurrence.
- Conduct code and design reviews for peer engineers, and ensure adherence to engineering standards, CI/CD practices, and front-end security requirements.
- Improve application performance (for example lazy loading, bundle size, and rendering efficiency), stability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to front-end architecture discussions, particularly for workflow experiences, reusable components, and integration with platform services.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, Technical Program Managers, Engineering Managers, business stakeholders, and global delivery teams.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers within the team.
- Take ownership of assigned modules and workstreams, solving problems independently with minimal supervision.
- Support modernization and innovation efforts, including AI-assisted code generation, AI-enabled automation, and AWS cloud-native services, where applicable.
