Role Description

• As a Senior Engineer – Data Security Automation and Development (Assistant Vice President), you will design, develop, and support enterprise automation solutions that strengthen Data Security controls across the organization. You will build integrations across HR systems, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Symantec DLP to enable reliable security operations, risk management, and business reporting.

• In this hands-on engineering role, you will translate business and control requirements into secure, scalable workflows, integrations, operational dashboards, notifications, and management information. You will work with security, infrastructure, application, HR, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions through development, testing, deployment, and operational handover.

• Critical requirement: Hands-on experience designing and developing Symantec DLP workflow automation for business reporting, management information, operational reporting, approval workflows, and notification processes is essential.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PowerShell-based automation solutions and workflows supporting Data Security controls and operational processes.
• Build and enhance Microsoft SQL Server components, including tables, views, stored procedures, data-processing routines, and validation controls.
• Develop enterprise integrations across HR data sources, Active Directory, LDAP, SQL Server, Web Services, and Symantec DLP.
• Design and develop Symantec DLP workflow automation for business reports, operational dashboards, management information, approval workflows, notifications, and reporting outputs.
• Configure and support production operations, including scheduled jobs, service accounts, application configuration, logging, error handling, monitoring, and alerting.
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and remediate code in line with secure coding, change management, and development standards.
• Support delivery across the lifecycle, including solution design, SIT, UAT, production deployment, post-implementation validation, and operational handover.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across integrations, workflows, databases, infrastructure, and DLP services.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, deployment guides, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate effectively in an Agile environment with security, engineering, infrastructure, product, and business stakeholders, providing clear status, risk, and delivery updates.
  

Your skills and experience

• Strong hands-on development experience with C#, .NET Framework, and PowerShell scripting.
• Proven Microsoft SQL Server expertise covering database design, tables, views, stored procedures, data processing, and validation.
• Essential Symantec DLP experience with Workflow Designer, Process Manager, workflow configuration, reporting automation, approval processes, notifications, and operational support.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into automated workflows and actionable reporting capabilities.
• Experience developing workflow-based automation, business reporting, operational dashboards, and management information solutions.
• Good understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, identity integration, RBAC, and Data Security control concepts.
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP/XML), enterprise system integrations, IIS, Windows Server, and application deployment.
• Practical experience working through SIT, UAT, production deployment, troubleshooting, and post-implementation support.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Preferred: ServiceNow integration experience and experience in regulated enterprise environments, preferably Financial Services.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and delivery risks clearly.
• Experience Range: 8+ years of software development and integration experience, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise automation, workflow, and reporting solutions.
