Job Description
- Role Overview:
The Infra & DevOps team within DWS India is committed to providing best-in-class shared services across build, release, and QA Automation space. The main functional areas include Environment build, Integration of QA Automation suite, Release and Deployment Automation Management, Technology Management, and Compliance Management. As a DevOps AVP, your role will be key to program delivery, working closely with stakeholders to advise and contribute from an Infra and DevOps capability perspective. This includes building and maintaining non-prod and prod environments, setting up end-to-end alerting and monitoring for ease of operation, and overseeing the transition of the project to L2 support teams as part of the Go Live process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive automation, including automated build, test, and deploy processes
- Support and manage Data/Digital systems architecture across environments
- Drive integration across systems to ensure service layer integration with the core technology stack
- Monitor digital architecture for health and identify corrective actions
- Serve as a technical authority to drive architectural standards on specific platforms
- Build security into the overall architecture and ensure adherence to security principles
- Liaise with IaaS and PaaS service providers to enhance offerings
- Conduct technology research and evaluate software for maintaining the development environment
- Work with the QA function to drive Continuous Testing by integrating QA Automation suites with available toolsets
Qualifications Required:
- Proven technical hands-on experience in Linux/Unix
- Experience in Infrastructure Architecture including Clustering, High Availability, Performance and Tuning, Backup and Recovery
- Hands-on experience with DevOps build and deploy tools like TeamCity, GIT/Bit Bucket/Artifactory, and knowledge of automation/configuration management using tools such as Ansible
- Working understanding of code and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, or JS

- Knowledge and experience in Docker technology, OpenShift, and Kubernetes containerization
- Ability to deploy complex solutions based on IaaS, PaaS, and public and private cloud-based infrastructures
- Basic understanding of networking and firewalls
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an agile environment
- Ability to deliver independently and collaborate with teams
- Strong coding and scripting skills in multiple languages
- Knowledge of automation landscape and security requirements
