Job Description
- As a Lead Engineer for Technology at Pune, India, you will be a strategic and results-driven SRE leader with extensive experience in banking and financial services. Your role will involve ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance of mission-critical banking applications. You will drive DevOps transformation, automation, and incident management while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
The environment relies on a Linux-based stack and open-source tools such as Jenkins, Helm, Ansible, Docker/Podman, as well as other popular tools like OpenShift and Terraform. The engineering team is scaling globally to meet customer needs and will be distributed over three Deutsche Bank Technology Centers in the US, Germany, and India. As a Lead DevOps/Platform Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and supporting reusable engineering solutions, as well as fostering a strong engineering culture.

To excel in this role, you should have a deep understanding of common development tasks and problems, with a background in Development, Quality Assurance, or SRE as a plus. Strong technical skills in software development processes and hands-on experience with tools like Spring Boot, Kotlin/Java, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Prometheus, Groovy, Kubernetes, etc., are required. Effective communication and collaboration skills, a proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a constant desire to improve are essential.
