Role Description

This position is with Corporate Bank - Transaction Surveillance Technology area. Transaction Surveillance Technology is an integral part of Cash Management and has been established as the first line of defense function to build appropriate controls to ensure regulatory compliance. The Sanctions and Embargo screening is a service within Transaction Surveillance, which provides near real-time, automated screening of transactions to ensure Anti Financial Crime compliance of the Deutsche Bank group and its various businesses.

QA Chapter Lead - Vice President you will be responsible for overseeing the QA Chapter to improve & enhance the quality of our products. This role is pivotal in ensuring testing efficiency by driving shift left with automation, service virtualizations etc. The ideal candidate will lead a team of quality assurance engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement best practices in automated testing to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our quality assurance processes.

Accountabilities

• Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
• Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organizations technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Your key responsibilities

Vice President Expectations

• Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
• Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
• Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer-Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent
• Total 14+ years of experience in IT industry with Quality Assurance - Automation testing
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Team leadership
• Strong innovative mindset
• Relevant industry certifications if any
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (analyses the technical defect, identify the root-cause, and provide workaround/permanent solution)
• The position demands strong collaboration skills with both executives and cross-functional teams, as well as the capability to communicate technical and business concepts to diverse audiences.

Must have skills,

To be successful QA Chapter Lead - Vice President, you should have experience with:

• Strong understanding & experience of Safe agile especially the Tribe Maturity Model.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on coding and proficiency in automation testing tools like Selenium framework, Playwright, JUnit, BDD, TDD, TestNG, Appium, Seetest etc.
• Good knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner etc.
• Test Efficiency by driving left shift, test automation, service virtualization.
• Test Strategy Development: Ability to design, create, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, including automated test scripts and test frameworks. And various quality matrices at Tribe level.
• Experience with RDBMS databases & PL/SQL
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI, Github Actions
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex software systems and develop testing strategies to ensure quality outcomes.
• Leadership Skill: Strong leadership skills to coach/mentor/enable a group of QA engineers to deliver the key KPIs at the Squad, Tribe or Business Unit level. Develop/Lead a High-Performance team.
  

Nice to have skills,

• Security Testing: Understanding of security testing principles and tools.
• Skills in scripting for automation/migration tasks are necessary, along with excellent interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively and mentor junior team members.
• Experience with PaaS products and knowledge of container orchestration/management using platforms like Red Hat OpenShift, VMWare, AWS, Azure is preferred.
• AI In QA Automation: Use of AI in QA Automation landscape, tooling and efficiency gain like use of copilot
