Job Description
As a Cash Equity Structurer within the Quantitative Investment Solutions (QIS) team at Deutsche India in Mumbai, you will be instrumental in the end-to-end development and launch of innovative cash equity products, working closely with and supporting the London Structuring team. This is a high-impact role demanding a strategic thinker with strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive product innovation from concept to market.
You will be responsible for:
- Product Structuring and Lifecycle Management: Supporting the design, structuring, and execution of new systematic cash equity products. This involves assisting with the full product lifecycle, from initial ideation and feasibility studies to final product launch and ongoing enhancements, in collaboration with the London team.
- Innovation and Concept Testing: Actively identifying and testing new ideas and concepts for systematic trading strategies and structured products. This includes evaluating market opportunities and translating quantitative research into commercially viable products.
- Client Engagement and Solutions Support: Assisting the London team in servicing existing clients by understanding their needs, preparing materials for bespoke solutions, and effectively communicating and explaining the performance and mechanics of a suite of factor strategies to both internal and external stakeholders. This includes preparing compelling presentations and supporting client discussions.
- Strategic Project Contribution: Contributing to long-term strategic projects aimed at enhancing our QIS product offering and platform capabilities.
- Data Integration and Product Enhancement: Collaborating with quantitative research and data teams to evaluate and onboard new datasets and factors that can inform and improve the design of equity products and strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with various teams, including Sales, Trading, Legal, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure seamless product development, regulatory adherence, and efficient implementation of investable indices.
Basic Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in finance, with a strong focus on cash equity structuring, quantitative product development, or a related role within the equities domain.
- Proven experience with Python, particularly utilizing standard libraries such as Pandas and Numpy, for product prototyping, analysis, and development support.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse financial datasets and understanding their application in product design.
- A strong understanding of systematic trading strategies and factor investing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex quantitative concepts into clear, actionable product specifications.
