Job Title: Vice President - Business Finance

Location: Mumbai, India

Role Description

• We are seeking a Vice President in Business Finance to provide senior oversight across Daily P&L reporting, Month-end close and Performance of SOX controls and adhere to governance model. The role requires a commercially aware finance leader who can manage complex production, challenge outcomes, strengthen controls and partner effectively with Front Office, Risk, Operations, Technology and senior Finance stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the oversight, review and explanation of Daily P&L, ensuring timely sign-off, clear commentary and effective escalation of material issues.

• Review of various controls and breaks resolution FOBO breaks, Management Account and Financial Account reconciliations, exception clearing, balance sheet substantiation and disclosures.

• Partner with Front Office, Financial Control, Risk, Operations, Technology and Business Finance leadership to resolve issues, improve transparency and strengthen front-to-back controls.

• Drive standardisation, automation and continuous improvement across reporting processes, workflows, tools and control practices.

• Support strategic change, system rollouts, new product approvals and business ensuring Finance requirements and control impacts are properly understood and delivered.

• Lead, coach and develop team members, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, quality, curiosity and continuous learning.

Your skills and experience

• Strong experience in Business Finance (Product Control), FIC Product Expertise, Financial Control and P&L explains and reporting.

• Deep understanding of investment banking products, front-to-back product life cycles events and impact on Valuation, Risk, P&L, with the ability to interpret drivers, explain movements and challenge outputs.

• Product Expertise across Fixed income products with relevant accounting (IFRS, HGB) allowing Ledger finalization as per global accounting standards and balance sheet Substantiation

• Strong Communication skill: Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders, influence outcomes and articulate complex financial matters clearly and confidently.

• Ability to adopt new technologies and leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, strengthen insights and drive scalable process improvements.

• Control Mindset: Track record of improving controls, simplifying processes, reducing manual effort and delivering change in a global, matrixed environment.to
