About The Role
We are looking for an IT Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of life insurance initiatives across new product launches, UW (underwriting) & policy admin workflows, customer/partner portals, and claims—with hands-on depth across Java (microservices) and Angular.
You will own planning, execution, quality, compliance, and production stability, partnering with Business, PMO, Architecture, QA, SecOps, and Infra.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Execution

 Own end-to-end delivery (scope → plan → build → test → release → hypercare) for multiple streams, aligning to quarterly OKRs and regulatory timelines. Translate BRDs/FRDs into tech delivery plans; maintain detailed JIRA roadmaps, sprint plans, and release calendars.
 Lead Scrum of Scrums across Java/Angular squads; unblock teams, manage dependencies, and drive credible ETAs.
 Enforce Definition of Ready/Done, coding standards, branch strategy, and release checklists. Engineering Leadership (Java + Angular)
 Guide design of Java 17+ microservices (Spring Boot/Spring Cloud), REST/gRPC APIs, eventing (Kafka), and data stores (PostgreSQL/MySQL; Redis). Oversee Angular 14+ SPA development (state management, reactive forms, RxJS, route guards), responsive UX, accessibility.
Ensure API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger), versioning, backward compatibility, and performance budgets are met. Review critical PRs, architecture decisions (ADR), and non-functional test strategy (performance, resiliency, security).
Life Insurance Domain Delivery
Orchestrate changes across Product, UW rules, Pricing, Illustration/quote, Proposal/issuance, Endorsements, Renewals, and Claims/FNOL. Integrate with ecosystem partners: KYC/AML (PAN/Aadhaar/OCR), Payment gateways, Aggregator portals, Bureau services, IVR/video MER, and Docs/e-sign. Manage data quality and data masking/tokenization for PII/PHI in lower environments.
 Ensure IRDAI and internal audit compliance for releases, logs, access, and data handling. Quality, Risk & Compliance
 Drive shift-left testing; align unit/integration/e2e/UAT entry/exit criteria and triage defects to closure. Define and track SLOs/SLIs (latency, error rate, throughput) and CFRs (security, reliability, operability). Run risk registers, mitigation plans, and formal go-live readiness (runbooks, rollback, observability). DevOps & Operations
 Partner with DevOps for CI/CD (Git, pipelines), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform). Enforce environment strategy (dev/test/UAT/pre-prod/prod), feature flags, blue/green or canary releases. Own incident/problem management, post-incident reviews, and capacity planning. Stakeholder Management & Governance
 Single-threaded owner for Business, PMO, and Compliance; provide weekly status, burn-up/burn-down, risk/issue logs. Manage vendor/SI deliverables and SLAs; align with Enterprise Architecture & Security on standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills Technical (must-have)
 15–20 years total experience with 3–5+ years in delivery/engg management for web-scale systems.
Strong hands-on depth and code-review ability in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA/Hibernate, REST/gRPC, Kafka. Angular 14+, TypeScript, RxJS, Angular Material; Jest/Jasmine/Cypress or Playwright. RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), caching (Redis), messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ). CI/CD (GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps), Docker/Kubernetes, observability (Grafana/Prometheus/ELK/OpenTelemetry).
AI copilots & prompt engineering for delivery productivity: practical use of Microsoft 365 Copilot (status synthesis, risk logs, stakeholder updates), GitHub Copilot (code suggestions, test scaffolding), and creation of reusable prompts/guardrails for JIRA/Confluence updates; ability to measure impact with throughput/lead-time metrics. Security & compliance: OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, secrets management (Vault/Key Vault), PII masking, OWASP, API security. Domain (Optional)
 Solid delivery experience in Life Insurance (any of: Product setup, UW rules, Quote/Illustration, Proposal & Issuance, Endorsements, Renewal, Claims, Partner integrations).
 Familiarity with IRDAI guidelines, audit readiness, and regulated release processes. Delivery & Leadership
 Proven track record managing multi-team Agile programs, complex dependencies, and fixed regulatory timelines. Strong vendor management, budgeting, and KPIs ownership (on-time, on-scope, quality, cost).
Nice-to-have
Exposure to pricing engines, rules engines (Drools/ODM), BPMN workflows (Camunda/Flowable). Cloud experience (AWS/Azure managed services), feature flagging (LaunchDarkly/Unleash).
Experience with performance engineering (JMeter/k6), chaos testing, and blue/green strategies
