Manager - Sales - Pharma

Designation : Sales Manager Pharma

Location : Mumbai

Key Responsibilities :

• Drive primary and secondary sales across Gujarat and Maharashtra.
• Manage distributor and stockist performance, productivity, and ROI.
• Strengthen retailer, chemist, wholesaler, and stockist networks.
• Monitor sales targets, stock availability, POB, conversion ratios, and field-force productivity.
• Analyze sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Conduct regular market visits and ensure effective execution of sales strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop sales teams to achieve business objectives.

Experience Required :

• Around 5-10 years of experience in Pharmaceutical General Trade Sales Operations.
• Minimum 2-4 years of leadership experience in a sales function.
• Experience handling Mumbai, Maharashtra, and Gujarat markets.
• Experience managing Distributor/Stockist Networks (Gujarat & Maharashtra preferred).
• Strong experience in Primary & Secondary Sales Management.
• Experience working as a First-Line Manager (FLM) or Second-Line Manager (SLM).
• Experience in recruiting, training, coaching, and managing sales teams and frontline managers.
• Proven ability in performance management, target setting, team development, and retention.

• Strong analytical, reporting, MIS, and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to derive meaningful business insights from sales data.
• Strong execution capability with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent negotiation skills and strong market knowledge.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams.

Educational Qualification :

• Graduate (Science/Pharma preferred)
• MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred (Tier-2 institute preferred)
• Candidates with a strong academic record across 10th, 12th, Graduation, and MBA will be preferred.
