DMI Finance - Senior Product Manager - Wealth Products Distribution

The Wealth Products Distribution vertical represents a strategic expansion; bringing curated investment and asset products to the same customer base we have earned trust with in the credit space.

About the Role:

DMI Finance is building its Wealth Products Distribution vertical from the ground up. As the second hire in this vertical, you will work directly with the Head of Wealth Products Distribution to design, launch, and scale products that make investing intuitive, transparent, and seamless for our customers.

This is a true 0-to-1, full-stack product ownership role. You will not be confined to a single product category. Instead, you will own the product strategy, user journeys, partner integrations, and regulatory compliance across a portfolio that will grow from an initial MVP into a comprehensive wealth ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership:

• Define the 0-to-1 Journey: Own the wealth product roadmap from ideation through business case, regulatory compliance, launch readiness and scale.
• Ruthless Prioritization: Partner with leadership to decide what gets built now, what gets iterated on, and what waits.
• User-Centric Curation: Obsess over building an experience with class-leading UX and simplicity. Run prototypes past users before writing code to validate that we are solving real user frictions.

2. Deep Domain Ownership & Execution:

We don't just aggregate; we curate. You will need to get into the atomic operational and financial details of the assets we distribute:

• If we launch Mutual Funds: Own the full setup of DMIs distribution capabilityincluding tech partner selection, payments, order routing, reconciliation and portfolio reporting.
• If we launch Digital Gold: Select partners based on product capability match. Deeply understand underlying mechanics (like buy/sell spreads and FIFO transaction accounting) to build transparency and intuitive experience for the user.
• If we launch Fixed Deposits: Select partners which offer the best mix of NBFC and Banks, understand end to end user journeys and portfolio reporting, solve VKYC friction via intuitive nudges and in app experience.
• KYC understanding: Maintain a deep understanding of product-specific regulatory KYC requirements. Leverage advanced knowledge of ecosystem partners and modern tech rails to build consent-driven, pre-filled onboarding data journeys that maximize conversion.
• Post-Launch Performance: Own the core product health metricsconversion rates, SIP persistence, AUM, channel-wise acquisition costs etc.

3. Tech, Design & Operations:

• PRDs: Write exceptionally clear PRDs, user stories, and functional specs. Lead sprint planning and manage technical execution with engineering teams.
• API Integrations: Architect and drive integrations with AMCs, RTAs and market data providers while managing vendor SLAs.
• Operational Workflows: Design internal operational logicincluding maker-checker processes where required, exception handling, and partner SOP for query resolution.
• Payments: Strong understanding of end to end payment flows - one time, autopay, redemptions.

4. Compliance, Risk & Distribution Architecture:

• Regulatory Alignment: Translate SEBI, RBI, and AMFI regulatory changes into seamless product updates without disrupting live user journeys.
• Cross-Sell Architecture: Embed wealth products naturally into DMI's existing app to capture high-intent cross-sell opportunities.
• Support Enablement: Map clear product funnels to spot transactional drops early, define SLAs, and build SOPs so customer support teams can resolve user queries instantly.

Experience & Background:

• 812 years of overall experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a core Product Management role owning digital consumer products end-to-end.
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or a quantitative field. An MBA from a reputed institution is preferred but not mandatory if execution track record is stellar.
• Proven WealthTech Execution: Direct experience building or scaling Mutual Fund products (must understand AMC onboarding, RTA integrations, KYC operations, and transaction reconciliation).
• Product-Led Cultivator: Background in a pure-play WealthTech startup or a dedicated product-led pod within a modern retail bank. We are looking for builders of self-serve, curated user experiences.

Product & Technical Skills:

• First-Principles Thinking: Ability to deconstruct complex financial instruments and regulations into intuitive, clean, and compliant user journeys.
• Hands-on Delivery: Comfortable managing sprints, understanding APIs, owning UAT.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Certifications such as NISM, CFA, or CFP are a strong advantage.
