Job Summary

A Procurement Manager in a railway infrastructure company plays a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods, services, and works essential for project execution. This position demands strategic planning, supplier management, and adherence to regulatory standards to support large-scale Railway projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies specific to railway infrastructure and rolling stock.
• Manage end-to-end tendering processes in compliance with Indian Railways and public procurement norms.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to technical specifications and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to forecast procurement needs.
• Maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance to ensure quality and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards.
• Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare procurement reports and documentation for audits and stakeholder review.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 3 - 8 years of procurement experience, with at least 2 years in railway.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
