Software Tester duties and responsibilities
- analysing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
- collaborate closely with other team members and departments
- execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
- Design and develop automation scripts when needed
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
- Provide timely solutions
- Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle
- Provide support and documentation
Software Tester requirements and qualifications
- Min 4 years of experience as a Software Tester or similar role
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the companys success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Possessing strong communication and visualisation skills, supplemented by rich exposure in latest tools and technologies in the following key areas:
HTML, XHTML, DHTML, DOM, CSS2, WEB 2.0, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, Flash (with ActionScript), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw and MS Office.
Creative and committed work in website, brochures, presentations, and flash works is essential.
Knowledge of Adobe Flex, Silverlight, JSP, ASP would be added advantage.
Expertise in Webbased application architecture for product and Website development with good understanding of page optimisation, cross browser compatibility and performance related issues.
