Job Description

How you can make an impact
  • In this role, you support the smooth and compliant operation of Eppendorfs pipette service and calibration activities. You ensure that received pipettes are accurately recorded, physically inspected, decontaminated, processed for calibration and prepared for return to customers in accordance with established procedures.
  • You register incoming pipettes in the E365 system, ensuring that customer, instrument and service information is entered accurately and on time. You verify the physical condition of each pipette and cross-check the instrument serial number against the Pipette Service Request Form (PSRF) before the service process begins.
  • You carry out or coordinate the required decontamination activities for received pipettes, following applicable safety, quality and laboratory procedures. You ensure that instruments are handled carefully and that the required service documentation is complete and traceable throughout the process.
  • You support the calibration workflow by coordinating the generation of calibration reports and checking that the relevant documentation is available and accurate. Following successful calibration, you apply the calibration sticker to the pipette in accordance with company procedures and ensure that the instrument is correctly identified for release or dispatch.
  • You provide administrative support to service technicians by preparing and printing reports, organizing service-related documents and assisting with other activities required for the efficient completion of customer service orders. You help maintain an orderly, responsive and well-documented service environment.
  • You prepare delivery challans and other dispatch documentation for completed pipette service orders. You coordinate with the relevant internal teams to support accurate and timely dispatch, ensuring that the correct pipettes, reports and documents are sent to the customer.
  • You maintain accurate records, highlight discrepancies and escalate missing information, damaged instruments, serial-number mismatches or documentation issues to the appropriate team members. Through careful execution and attention to detail, you contribute to service quality, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • You collaborate with Service, Customer Care, Logistics, Quality and other internal stakeholders to ensure that pipettes move efficiently through the service process. You act with professionalism, integrity and accountability in all interactions with customers, colleagues and business partners.
What sets you apart
  • Bringing a bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Laboratory Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates with a keen interest in laboratory operations are encouraged to apply. Previous experience or exposure in laboratory equipment servicing, calibration support, technical administration, service coordination, logistics, or related operational roles is desirable. Knowledge of pipettes or other laboratory instruments is preferred.
  • Possessing a basic understanding of laboratory equipment, pipette identification, serial-number verification and service documentation requirements.
  • Demonstrating experience using digital systems or enterprise applications for data entry, service registration, order processing or record maintenance. Experience with E365 or similar service-management systems is an advantage.
  • Having a careful and systematic approach to checking instruments, forms, serial numbers, reports and dispatch documentation.
  • Understanding the importance of decontamination, safe handling and adherence to established procedures when receiving and processing laboratory instruments.
  • Demonstrating the ability to prepare, print, organize and maintain accurate technical and administrative records.
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with service technicians and internal stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Managing multiple service orders, documentation requirements and dispatch deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Showing strength in organization, problem solving, follow-through and identifying discrepancies before they affect service completion or customer delivery.
  • Working effectively in a team-oriented and cross-functional environment, supporting technicians and collaborating with Service, Quality, Customer Care and Logistics colleagues.
  • Demonstrating a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to reliable, timely and professional service support.
What we offer
  • Purpose and impact. You support the service processes behind reliable pipette performance, helping laboratories maintain accurate and dependable liquid-handling workflows.
  • We value your contribution. Your attention to detail, operational discipline and support for technicians directly contribute to service quality, customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Learning that moves you forward. Through product training, service-process exposure, quality guidance and on-the-job learning, you develop your technical, administrative and laboratory-equipment expertise.
  • Room to grow. You have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of pipette service and calibration processes and to develop toward broader responsibilities in service coordination, technical support, quality or laboratory-equipment operations.
  • Fair and supportive. You work in a collaborative environment based on respect, openness, clear expectations and continuous improvement.
