Job Description
- As a Commissioning Engineer at ETAP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful site commissioning and acceptance testing of electrical systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting site acceptance tests as per approved client formats, preparing detailed site reports, and performing communication point-to-point testing with various electrical equipment using standard communication protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP, and IEC 60870-50-104. Additionally, you will be involved in SCADA, DMS, and ADMS application testing and demonstrations.
- Demonstrate expertise in electrical Protection and Control Systems for power systems.
- Possess technical knowledge of multiple communication protocols like Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP, IEC 60870-50-104.
- Monitor site teamwork progress and distribution according to customer commissioning schedules.
- Develop, implement, test, and troubleshoot communication systems utilizing IP networking, UDP/TCP/IP, switching and routing, firewalls, gateways, GPRS/EDGE/3G/4G modems, etc.
- Coordinate and execute SAT, provide validation support and customer training, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Supervise field installations of new or retrofit equipment and create instructional installation documents for clients and project teams.
- Design and implement SCADA software as per customer specifications and troubleshoot SCADA software applications.
- Conduct factory and site acceptance tests for SCADA/ADMS/DMS/SPM systems, provide on-site customer training, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Strategically plan and analyze short-term and long-term project commissioning.
- Possess experience in SCADA and PPC commissioning in the renewable energy field.
- Have knowledge of Renewable SCADA Solar Performance Monitoring Systems.
- Familiarity with weather monitoring systems and forecasting systems for short and long-term forecasting.
- A graduate in Instrument/Electronic & Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-12 years of working experience in Renewable Solar SCADA and Oil & Gas industries.
- Job-specific skills include expertise in Solar Power Plant Design, Power Management Systems, communication protocols, site engineering, power system protection schemes, automation, and electrical protection systems.
