As a senior analytics specialist, you will report to the manager of operations reporting & analytics and use your analytical skills and broader analytics toolkit to analyze and visualize Etihad’s operational data resources. You will be responsible for answering high-value analytical questions raised by various operations departments across Etihad. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to effectively work across a multi-disciplinary environment. In addition, you are encouraged to continually develop your analytics capabilities and techniques for data analysis and problem-solving, ensuring alignment with industry-leading BI standards.

Accountabilities

• Drive cost savings, network optimization and fuel efficiency by developing reports and self-serve dashboards
• Develop and maintain calibration of models to ensure they are relevant and optimal for the current business state
• Monitor the benefits of models and provide monthly reports and actionable insights to the leadership team
• Research and propose ways to enhance the existing business processes by effectively utilizing advanced analytical solutions
• Communicate and present insights to relevant stakeholders
• Share knowledge with the rest of the ops analytics team to upskill existing team members on more advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modelling, forecasting, and machine learning
• Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and roll-out of new systems and upgrades of the existing ones to ensure delivery of requirements as per the business needs without any severe defects or bugs

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or data science
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in analytics and report development
• Experience in query tool applications such as SQL, Databricks, Python and Synapse would be preferred
• Must have experience in analytical tools like Power BI or Tableau
