2080420Job Title – Senior Manager - Risk ManagementThe Purpose of This RoleRisk Manager is responsible for evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the firm’s internal controls. FMR-India Risk and Compliance group is also responsible for analyzing, aggregating, and reporting on significant risk events to the FMR-India Risk and Compliance Committee, managing internal and external assessment/ testing activities, and providing oversight over risk management & Compliance programs.The Value You DeliverProper risk management implies control of possible future events and is proactive rather than reactive. Risk managers help achieve strategic goals through the process of identifying, measuring and treating exposures to loss and potential risk events.

• Work with middle to senior management within a business or function to facilitate the identification and resolution of risk/Compliance issues
• Escalate significant audit issues identified and proposes viable solutions and alternatives
• Perform and co-ordinate Internal assessment/ testing activities to ensure identified risks are properly addressed
• Appropriately document moderate to complex risk assessment
• Prepare draft assessment/ review reports and provide recommendations to resolve issues
• Presents findings to business leaders and Senior management
• Builds deep working relationships with appropriate contacts in client organizations
• Contribute to design, implementation and ongoing oversight of operational risk & Compliance programs
• Provide strategic and operational input with business perspective to risk analysis
• Provide Risk perspective to various business Units to aid decision making
• Manage Controls Assurance and RCSA programs
• Collect and disseminate data, conduct analysis, summarize results and prepare relevant reports
• Provide inputs / create Risk dashboards for management meetings

• In-depth knowledge of risk practices, tools, techniques, concepts, and trends
• Proven analytical skills and experience evaluating risk and making decisions based on hard/soft data
• Creative approach to continuous risk monitoring and automation
• Awareness of relevant industry regulations and requirements (e.g. Labor laws, Taxation, Corporate Secretarial)
• Team player who works constructively with others to achieve team goals
• Prior experience developing and implementing cross functional programs
• In depth knowledge of MS Office products and exposure to reporting and workflow tools
• Hands-on work style and ‘can do’ attitude with a strong desire to make things happen

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and related technology, Information Systems
• 8-10 years of risk management / audit experience preferably in financial services
• Professional risk certification would be preferred
• Hands on experience in leading / performing Risk Assessments, RCSA and Controls Testing
• Project management skills to support the team in effectively managing multiple assessments at a time
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Team player who takes initiative and works constructively with others to achieve team goals
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage priorities and workload
• Strong presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills
