Position Summary:

As a Senior Accountant Manager at Fitspire, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all accounting and financial operations within our dynamic e-commerce business. Your focus will be to ensure regulatory compliance, drive financial performance, and optimize processes across multiple online channels. You will lead a team of accountants and collaborate with internal stakeholders to navigate the unique financial intricacies of the e-commerce landscape.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:

* Prepare timely and accurate financial reports: income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

* Create performance dashboards and track KPIs such as conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition cost, etc.

2. Accounting Operations:

* Manage daily accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger upkeep.

* Supervise accounts payable/receivable ensuring timely billing and collections.

* Establish strong internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

3. E-commerce-Specific Accounting:

* Reconcile high-volume transactions across platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and company website.

* Handle accounting related to returns, shipping costs, discounts, and promotional campaigns.

* Use customer purchasing data to support pricing and marketing strategies.

4. Tax Compliance:

* Ensure compliance with tax obligations including GST, sales tax, and income tax filings.

* Stay abreast of tax updates and apply necessary changes to e-commerce operations.

5. System Integration & Optimization:

* Evaluate, implement, and optimize ERP/accounting systems and software.

* Collaborate with IT and Operations for seamless integration of sales channels and accounting platforms.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

* CPA or equivalent certification preferred

* Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, preferably within e-commerce/D2C environment

* Strong proficiency in Excel, accounting software (Tally/QuickBooks/Zoho), and ERP systems

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Knowledge of e-commerce processes, payment gateways, and CRM systems

* Strong communication and leadership abilities
