Job Title: General Manager 5-Star Luxury Hotel

Position Summary:

The General Manager (GM) is the senior executive responsible for the overall management, profitability, and success of a 5-star luxury hotel. This role demands exceptional leadership, operational expertise, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to delivering world-class guest experiences. The GM will oversee all departments, ensuring alignment with the brands standards of excellence in hospitality, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Leadership & Planning

• Develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligned with the hotels vision, brand, and financial goals.
• Lead revenue management initiatives and pricing strategies to optimize occupancy and profitability.
• Identify market trends and opportunities to maintain the hotels competitive edge in luxury hospitality.

2. Operations Management

• Oversee daily hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, spa, security, engineering, and sales.
• Ensure consistent quality of services and amenities across all guest touchpoints.
• Monitor operational KPIs to ensure high levels of service efficiency and guest satisfaction.

3. Financial Performance

• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Control operational costs while ensuring the highest standards of service and facility maintenance.
• Analyze profit and loss statements and take corrective actions as needed to meet financial targets.

4. Guest Experience & Quality Assurance

• Champion a guest-centric culture by ensuring personalized, anticipatory service at every interaction.
• Resolve complex guest complaints and service recovery cases with professionalism and urgency.
• Ensure compliance with all brand standards, health and safety regulations, and luxury service protocols.

5. Human Resources & Talent Development

• Lead, inspire, and mentor department heads and staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Implement training and development programs to enhance team performance and service excellence.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and succession planning for leadership roles.

6. Sales, Marketing & Public Relations

• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive room bookings, events, and F&B revenue.
• Represent the hotel at industry events, networking opportunities, and in local and international communities.
• Uphold the hotels brand reputation and handle crisis communication when required.

7. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and brand-specific compliance requirements.
• Monitor and manage risk mitigation strategies including health, safety, security, and environmental practices.
• Oversee audits and implement internal controls to protect assets and brand integrity.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1015 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a 5-star hotel.
• Proven track record of managing luxury hotel operations and delivering exceptional guest service.
• Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is an asset.

Working Conditions:

• This is a full-time, executive-level position requiring a high degree of availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• The role may involve travel for business development, brand meetings, or training.
