A sixty-person ed-tech company that sells learning software to schools and colleges has never had a dedicated HR person before — founders and team leads have been splitting onboarding, leave approvals, and offer letters between themselves for two years. Flexiple, which places HR talent into growing companies like this one, is running the search for its first HR Coordinator.

You would be the first person employees go to for anything from a laptop request to a leave query, and the first person to actually own the HR calendar instead of it living in someones inbox. Early weeks are about getting records, policies, and processes into one place; from there it is keeping onboarding, attendance, and documentation running without anyone having to ask twice.

• 1 to 4 years in HR operations, coordination, or a generalist role
• Comfortable setting up simple systems and processes from a fairly blank slate
• Organised with employee data, letters, and records
• Clear communicator who can work independently in a remote, distributed team
• Genuinely interested in being the go-to HR person at a small company
