Practice Head

Your key responsibilities will involve developing and implementing the company's data practice strategy, with a focus on big data analytics, AI/ML, and data governance. It will be essential to stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge in the data domain. Additionally, you will need to expand the service portfolio to address evolving client needs and market opportunities. Leading, mentoring, and nurturing a team of data professionals will be a critical aspect of your role, including defining competency development plans and ensuring continuous skill enhancement within the team.

You will also be responsible for workforce planning, recruitment, and resource allocation to meet project demands. Collaboration with sales and presales teams to design and present data solutions to prospective clients will be key to success. Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects while maintaining alignment with client expectations will be crucial. Providing architectural guidance and technical oversight for large-scale data platforms and analytical solutions will also fall under your purview.

Advocating for the adoption of advanced tools, frameworks, and methodologies in data engineering and analytics will be essential. Establishing and enforcing best practices for data quality, security, and compliance will be paramount. Driving revenue growth through identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing client engagements will also be a key part of your role.

Establishing strategic partnerships with technology vendors and data platform providers will be crucial. Developing and enforcing policies for data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR and HIPAA will be vital. Proactively managing risks associated with data management and analytics projects will also be part of your responsibilities.

You will be expected to drive research and development in emerging data technologies and pilot innovative solutions. Representing the organization as a thought leader through whitepapers, conference participation, and industry forums will also be an integral part of your role.

Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's Degree in engineering with over 15 years of experience in delivering data solutions using Agile Methodologies. Proven relevant experience as a delivery head or practice head in building data engineering capabilities and services is necessary. Prior experience in leadership roles within Data transformation programs, working with matrix organizations, and engaging in proposals, presales activities, and business development will be advantageous.,
