Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Relationship Manager to join our Corporate Banking team. The role involves end-to-end management of client relationships, including credit assessment, business development, and portfolio management.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of banking products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. 360- Credit Assessment:
- Conduct detailed analysis of clients' business models and financial statements.
- Prepare high-quality credit appraisal notes in collaboration with the Risk Management team.
2. Business Development:
- Perform market scoping, segmentation, and targeting to acquire new clients aligned with the bank's risk appetite.
- Engage with banks, brokers, corporates, law firms, trade associations, and chambers of commerce to generate business opportunities.
3. Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams across credit, operations, and product divisions to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.
- Promote a collaborative culture focused on delivering value to clients and the organization.
4. Portfolio Management:
- Manage and grow a high-quality portfolio of corporate clients.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and deepen existing relationships.
5. Customer Service:
- Provide superior service by understanding customer needs and offering appropriate banking products.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory policies while maintaining fairness and transparency.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- MBA / PGDM / Chartered Accountant / Graduate in Finance, Commerce, or Economics.
- Candidates must be from Tier 1 colleges (e.g., IIMs, XLRI, ISB, FMS, SPJIMR, IITs, NITs, top CA firms, etc.).
Experience:
- Graduates: 1-3 years of work experience in relationship management, financial analysis, or corporate banking.
- MBA / CA: 0-3 years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow).
- Knowledge of credit assessment, banking products, and risk management principles.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.
