Manager Direct Tax Policy & Reforms

We are looking for a Manager – Direct Tax Policy & Advocacy to drive work on direct taxation and tax-policy reforms. The role will involve developing industry positions, undertaking policy research and analysis, engaging with Government authorities, and representing industry perspectives on taxation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop industry positions on corporate tax, international taxation and transfer pricing.
• Engage with Government stakeholders on tax-policy matters.
• Lead inputs for Pre-Budget Memoranda and Post-Budget analysis.
• Conduct research on emerging tax issues, tax reforms, tax certainty and simplification.
• Engage with members, industry experts and taxation committees to consolidate industry perspectives.
• Track global developments including tax frameworks, transfer pricing, and assess their implications for Indian industry.
• Prepare policy papers, presentations and technical inputs for advocacy initiatives.
• Mentor junior team members and support effective management of the function.

Ideal Candidate

• CA , with approximately 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in taxation gained through Government/Revenue or Finance Ministries, large corporates, consulting firms or industry bodies.
• Strong understanding of the Indian direct tax framework and ongoing tax reforms.
• Experience in tax policy analysis, stakeholder management and engagement with Revenue Authorities.
• Strong research, analytical, writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Government, industry, professional bodies and internal stakeholders.
